It is an ideal replacement for traditional starting devices such as star/delta conversion, autotransformer reduction, and magnetic control reduction.

For different types of loads, smooth stopping effects can be achieved through reasonable parameter settings, especially suitable for assembly line filling production lines and water pump loads.

  Working Principle

  The CGR2000 series motor soft starter uses three pairs of anti-parallel thyristors connected in series in the stator circuit of the AC motor. By utilizing the electronic switching action of the thyristors, the microprocessor controls the variation of their triggering angle to change the conduction level of the thyristors, thereby altering the input voltage to the motor to achieve soft starting control. Once the startup is complete and the output of the soft starter reaches the rated voltage, a bypass control output signal will activate the three-phase bypass contactor KM, connecting the motor to the power grid.

  After the bypass contactor is engaged, the motor enters bypass operation mode, and the soft starter automatically shuts off the triggering pulse to the thyristors. If you have set the soft stop function, during stopping, the soft starter will first turn on the thyristors, then disconnect the bypass contactor, and gradually reduce the conduction angle of the thyristors, allowing the motor to slow down smoothly to achieve the soft stop effect, as shown in the diagram below.

  Note: The bypass contactor (KM) for the CGR2000A series soft starter is built-in.
